Call Committee Volunteers/Nominees Needed
Now that Pastor Niezwaag is on board as interim pastor for Grace, the Church Council met with a representative from the NE Iowa Synod regarding calling a permanent pastor for the Grace congregation. According to the Synod’s guidelines, the next step in the process of calling a new pastor is the formation of a committee of Grace members to serve as a “call committee.” Grace Council is looking for 6-8 members to serve on this committee. If you would be interested in serving on this call committee or in nominating someone to serve on the committee, please contact Carol Boldt (830-1935), Rich Rettig (961-1157), or Barb Bush (882-3215) by June 30, 2019. The Council will review the names submitted and according to NE Iowa Synod guidelines, will select members to be presented to the congregation for vote. The Council is looking for a diverse representation of our congregation to serve on the committee and to begin the important work associated with calling a new pastor. Thank you for your serious consideration of serving on this committee.
