Baptized today are Makenzie Lee Shover and Eli Keith Bradley. Makenzie is the mother of Eli and she is getting baptized along with her son. Eli is the son of Jordun Bradley and Makenzie Shover. Eli was born August 6, 2019. His sponsors are Destiny Chase, Brittany Shover, Brody Shover, Mason Bradley and Tye Bradley. Makenzie sponsor is Christy Hyde. May God guide Makenzie and Eli as they began their walk in faith with Jesus Christ.

 Thanksgiving Food Donations You may bring your Thanksgiving food items any time during the month of November through Thanksgiving for our Thanksgiving altar. If you are looking for ideas, here are a few suggestions: Stuffing mixes, potatoes (any kind), cranberry sauce, gravy mixes, Jello, canned fruit, macaroni and cheese, or toilet tissue is always needed. Any other kind of food items will then be taken to the Mobile Food pantry. Thank you for your participation in this project.

Church Responsibilities to be offered for bids for 2020. Job descriptions have been prepared for the following responsibilities: Parking lot snow removal, Lawn mowing-parsonage and church, Sidewalk snow removal, Cemetery lawn mowing. All bids need to be submitted by November 10th to any of the trustees: Shane Miller, Andrew Boldt, and David Shinstine.

Budget Update  Due to lower income in the summer months, year-to-date giving as of the end of September 2019 was $15,442.61 below budget. However, we are now in the busy time of the church year, which is mirrored by a wide range of increased expenditures. This is a great time for all of to move up our giving to match the pace of this “busy” time. Please note electronic giving to the church is also available on our website at www.gracetripoli.org (select Give among the top header options). One of the great benefits to the church of electronic giving is that these offerings become part of the fixed income that the church can count on each month and helps with budgeting for the church. For individuals, electronic giving saves on the number of checks that members normally write to the church during the year. Make plans now to attend Grace Sunday School’s Christmas program on Sunday morning, Dec. 22. Parents are asked to make sure their children attend Sunday School as often as possible each week so that the kids can prepare for their roles and can learn their songs for the program. Thank you!

Christian Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Elna Kuecker, mother of Allen (deceased), Roger, Larry, Lowell, Danny, JoAnn Volker, and Lynn. Funeral services were held at Grace on Saturday with burial at Grace Cemetery. May the God who reigns over life and death be with you.

Christian Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of LaVerne Lobeck husband of Pauline and father of Jason (Michelle) and Deann (James) Daly, and grandchildren, Brianna and Natalie Lobeck and James Jr. And Madison Daly. LaVerne passed away on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at 10:30 am at Grace Lutheran with burial at Grace Cemetery.

Several men from Grace will be attending the Lutheran Men in Mission’s  One Year to Live retreat on Nov. 8, 9, and 10 at Camp Ewalu near Strawberry Point. This retreat provides men with an opportunity to spend time away together and to come closer in their walk with Christ.
