The Service of Healing and Wholeness Spiritual healing is God’s work of offering persons balance and wholeness of body, mind, spirit, and relationships through the presence of the Holy Spirit in the midst of blessings and struggles. All healing is of God. Healing is not magic, but underlying it is the great mystery of God’s love. God does not promise that we shall be spared suffering but does promise to be with us in our suffering. Trusting that promise, we are able to experience God’s sustaining presence in pain, sickness, injury, and loss. This Service of Healing is not necessarily a service of curing, but in it healing can happen. The greatest healing of all is to experience God in the midst of your life. This service takes seriously that sometimes it is nice to be able to receive a prayer that focuses just on you and your life. People in the hospital or shut-in are used to receiving personal prayers from the Pastor. During this service, you will have the opportunity to come to the back of the church and receive a personal prayer from Pastor Dennis.
