“Having grown up in the Buck Creek area, I went to parochial and country school, so it was quite a change when my folks moved to a farm west of Tripoli,” said Pauline Frahm. “By that time, Wilbert and I had gotten married, and Dad and Mom started going to Grace, so they picked me up and I went with them to church at Grace. I didn’t know anyone at Grace except for my family, but people were friendly and it was easy to get acquainted with them.”
“Pretty soon Wilbert started going with me to church at Grace too. Our kids could start Sunday School when they were 3 years old, and when all of our kids were in Sunday School, I started teaching Sunday School myself. I met so many other nice people who were also teaching Sunday School then too, and most of us remained friendly and participated in many other church activities together over the years. I started going to women’s Bible study and the general meetings, and as the years passed, I also worked with the altar guild, quilting, and various Bible study groups,” Pauline explained. “I guess I am a ‘people person,’ and over the years, I really enjoyed being around the people I came to know at church. I still like to visit with them regularly, and work with them in various ways.”
Today, Pauline emphasized that she feels like Grace church members are a big part of her life and truly part of her family. “I consider Grace my church family, and missed seeing everyone during the pandemic when we couldn’t meet. I couldn’t wait to get back to church to see everyone again,” she explained. Pauline longs for rich Christian fellowship, and like many others in the community, opens her arms to welcome all who wish to be part of the Grace family.
Your generosity and participation make it possible to offer ministries and fellowship that Pauline and many others can join in. Thank you for helping to provide opportunities at Grace where people of all ages can learn, enjoy working together, and build friendly Christian relationships.
